The Comboard is a picture symbol board with motor-driven pointer. The pointer is rotated by pressing on one of two single switches (not supplied) until it reaches the required picture symbol. The switches plug directly into 1/8” jacks on the side of the unit. One switch rotates the pointer clockwise and the other anti-clockwise. Speed of rotation can be adjusted. The Scan4 is a scanning version of the popular 4Talk4, and has been carefully designed to be used as an introduction to scanning. Scan4 has very bright scanning lights, auditory prompts and can be used in a number of modes. These are traditional single switch scanning, two
switch where the user controls the scan with one switch and selects with the other, and dwell scan where pressing the switch controls the scan, and dwelling causes it to activate the message.
Toys can be connected as with the 4Talk4, and the unit will also act in 4Talk4 mode with the addition of the lights illuminating when the message button is pressed. This gives extra reinforcement to the action.
